My brother just came up and asked me for the phone number of his Computer/IT person Eddie Rivera of RescueMe.  I thought I had his card in my Leads Club Business card holder and was mistaken.  Then looked in my paper address book and only had an email.  That was fine so we emailed him.  But……I was driven to find his website/phone number.  Went to Google, Facebook, LinkedIn and  a few others, added San Diego,  but still no luck.  Why??  Because Eddie has a really common name and business name.

My Google searches of Rescue me brought up animal  sites, nothing to do with Computer consulting.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we can’t change our names, common or not, I know, but your Business name you do have a choice with.  And it’s not just Google anymore, it’s Yelp, Youtube and the list goes on.

Help me find you!!!!

What is the best business name you have seen lately that really represents the business/person and is easily searched?  Please give us some examples.  One I can think of is:  Leads Club.

Thank you for allowing me to vent my frustration of not being able to find Eddie.  When I do, I’ll let you know.

“Four Steps to Building Your Business”

#1 Become known as the referral source.

Wouldn’t it be great if your friends, family and business Associates came to you every time they needed a referral? It’s not that unusual. Think about last time you need a product or service that you had not needed in the past. Did you go to the yellow pages or did you ask a friend? For me, the phone book is the last resort, I would much rather work with someone that some I know, knows.

So, how do you become known as the Referral Source? It’s easy!

  1. Make a list of all of the people you know who provide you and your family, friends and office with products and services.
  2. Ask those people if they would mind if you stated referring them to people you know and meet.
  3. Ask them for a supply of their business cards, promotional materials or a link to their website.

Happy Thanksgiving!

What a wonderful time of year to remember those  who  have supported you both in Leads Club and in the rest of your business life.  So many people wait until the December holidays to give gifts or send cards. Put yourself ahead of the rest and create a tradition of thanks by acknowledging your Business Associates for Thanksgiving.

Please enjoy a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend.
